What is your definition of leadership and what it takes to be an effective AguLeader?
For me leadership is not just the capability of letting them do what you want to but more importantly is doing the job you gave them because they wanted to. Maniwala cu casi na para salese ya ing working relationship yu at magca-goodwill dapat buri darin deng caiabe mu ing gagawan da, itang ali mu assign cang assign carela tapos emu pala balu na eda naman talaga buri ta. Though I did not mean na magpa-under ca carela at pag eda buri cagad mu ng ali pagawa carela. You should be firm but kind, a cool head and a warm heart as they say.
Also, leadership for me is to convince yourself first before you convince others. It is really difficult to encourage others if you, yourself, aren’t convinced on your take or side on certain situations like in dealing with problems. Basta take it as a man, enaca manuru pang aliwa nung megcamali ca man.
Macananu calalam ing know-how mu ceng position na tatagalan mu?
I may been a member of the Finance Committee ever since I became an Agumember but that does not mean that I know everything on how the committee functions and should work. I would say that out of a scale of 10 I would give myself a 5 because what I know as a FinnCom member might be just half of the whole knowledge of what a FinnCom Head should know. These “know-how’s” could be broaden if ever I was given a chance to be in that position. So far, I was able to experience to raise funds and to deal with problems of solicitation and financial delinquency of members, which should be improved.
How would you prevent previous mistakes of previous Executive Councils?
Previous mistakes could be prevented if the officers will set aside their differences and always respect each other. If co-officers need support they must be supported fully to enhance the working relationship and camaraderie among them. Also, being too proud of oneself must be avoided, if someone from the ExeCom was praised for such very good deeds, he/she must not forget to think that his/her success was also because of his/her co-officers and more importantly the members, because rifts might start among these officers and eventually will also affect the members, in short chaos. Another thing to avoid mistakes is for them to become good leaders as I elaborated in the preceding question.
Nanung masanting a administrative policy ning outgoing Executive Council ing buri mung i-continue?
Alumni relations – which really helped our organization to function better like support from the alumni in our various events.
Kapilan taia i-ammend ing Consti? Anong petsa na?!
Actually, ecu rin balu eh, I must admit that ece rin macanian pa cabalu ing Consti tamu in terms of what it needs to be changed but if it comes to a time na cailangan sumaup nacu man.
What trait of yours do you think will give you a harder time when it comes to handling the pressures of being in-charge?
Being a fun person might give me a harder time sometimes because I might not be serious enough when I need to and in return they might not just take me seriously. For example, when I try to ask for help in some problems.
Ninung older member/s ing role model mu caras ceng pagiging leader?
E Ate Daph, casi despite ceng paglocwan de reng members or lagi deng pamusitan ocei mu caia, and she can get the attention and respect daring mems lalu na pag cailangan. Itang bang respetwan me without even saying na respetwan ya. She is also firm with her decisions and at the same tim, kind, and paciramdaman nala reng tau.
How will you prevent financial obligations delinquency among members?
Through rewards for those who pay on time, because people tend to respond properly to incentives and for those who fail to settle their balances, constant reminders to them (siguradu naman na sumawa la reta ceng pangungulit)
Atsu ka SM kaybat mewala ya ing wallet mu. Ala kang pera keng bulsa. Ing ATM mu atsu keng wallet. Ala yang charge ing phone mu. Makananu kang muli?
GENERAL PLAN OF ACTION
*More fund raising activities (if possible, once a month)
*Improve the solicitations turn-out and to gather more sponsors especially on major events like Pautakan, Sining and CEER
*Accreditation of events like Pautakan and Sining from the DepEd (wih the help of EducCom) so through this, our major events can be funded by the government as well.
*Efficient fiscal management, wherein the FinCom will focus more on collecting funds in the major events (Pautakan, Sining, CEER). When other events need extra funding the committee in charge of that event should head the fund raising project, with the assistance of FinCom.
*Unite the FinComm members for an all out effort and to do our tasks more efficiently.
*Reduce the rate of financial delinquency among the members.
*Coordinate with other committees for more effective way of collecting funds.
SPECIFIC PLAN OF ACTION
*Continue fund raising activities like rummage sales and raffle draws but to a higher profit turn out.
*Through the coordination with other committees the FinCom can improve to collect and gather funds:
In cooperation with MemCom, the applicants’ batch will have a fund raising project to help the organization.
*Together with ExteCom, maintain good alumni relations for alumni are one of the most feasible sources of funds for our projects and events.
*With Records and Pub, to update the prospect sponsors and alumni for the events in our organization and to also relay our needs in the said event.(through e-mails, text messages and other modes of communication). Coordinate also with Rec and Pub in releasing a CD (compilation of photos and/or videos during events) that can be sold to alumni who wanted to have an update on happenings and can also be given to sponsors, instead of the souvenir programs which are more costly.
* With EducCom and SocioCom, events like Pautakan and Sining can be strategic opportunities to sell T-shirts and other apparels. (pins, notepads...)
* Work with EducCom for the accreditation of Pautakan to DepEd so that the government will be able to help us in funding the events.
*With its counterpart of SocioCom’s Sining, early proposals to the Office of Initiatives Culture and the Arts to also help in funding the event.

What is your definition of leadership?
Leadership begets leadership in oneself. It starts with the simple things that one do. Leadership means taking the lead, taking the initiative, not being afraid to take risks and willing to accept consequences. Leadership doesn't take account from its root word rather from another word, service. Without it, leadership is bogus.
For other general questions, see Buduy’s answers under “Educational Committee Chairperson”.
Makananu kalalam ing know-how mu keng position na tatagalan mu?
I take a course which promotes capitalism and been a member of the fin com for a semester. Finance means handling and investing capital to produce the most effective results, and I can say that I am well versed with ways and means to do it. Aside from that, being a fin com head requires one to be a good marketer, so people would patronize our events and even invest in them. If voted I could exercise my course. Personally, I want to change other's impression of fin as 'taga-kolekta ng funds' to a committee that not only keeps and handles the financial resource of the org, but a committee that makes creative ways to generate funding for relevant Agu Activities, handling progressive marketing and appropriate investments.
How will you prevent financial obligations delinquency among the members?
By making a master list of all registered members on an Excel file, financial data can be properly organized. By plugging in some Excel formulas, members’ financial status (i.e. debt on fees, solicitations, etc.) can be properly monitored and accounted for. Given the chance, I would also regularly post either in the bulletin board, logbook or Online Aslag, the organization’s financial statements, so members can have a check and balance (whatever that means) on the financial situation on the org. Fund-raisers would be of help in making members aware of their obligations in the org.
Atsu ka SM kaybat mewala ya ing wallet mu. Ala kang pera keng bulsa. Ing ATM mu atsu keng wallet. Ala yang charge ing phone mu. Makananu kang muli?
Given the circumstance I would have to see myself doing the following decisions:
*Walk and walk until I spot someone I know, then the rest is taken cared of.
*Walk home.
*Dial 109 in PLDT telephone booths, and call collect home.
*Go to the admin and borrow their telephone. Surely they would understand.
*Go to the admin and explain my situation.
SPECIFIC PLAN OF ACTION
As FinComm head, I envision the organization to a short-term goal of fulfilling its activities and events with all the financial capital that it needs, through strict implementation of financial internal control and revenue generating projects. Likewise I envision the benefit of a long-term goal for the organization to have a stable financial condition by having an account and making an annual fin project. I also plan to instill in the members the spirit of entrepreneurship so they can value more the financial aspect of the organization.
RUSH – Rummagables and Used items for Sale Here!
As the name implies, members will give out used items to be set p for sale in different communities. It will be held utmost twice per semester.
PBB – Papel Bote at iBa pa
Trashable papers, Pet bottles will be collected and sold in CASAA. Boxes will be provided for collections every week. Fin Com members will see to it that the boxes are placed properly in the tambayan and will monitor its cleanliness.
KUMAG – KUmpanya kaMi po ang AGuman
To build up non-existent ties among Pampanga-based Companies, FinComm will pattern a brochure or an AVP to be given to companies/people during solicitation periods. We encourage them to invest in our event, watch our events and at the same time we build ties with them.
Dahil libreng mangarap: FREAK – Fincom’s Revenue Expanding Annual Krash
In lieu of expanding the org’s events and activities, the FinComm will also hold its annual fund raising event (much bigger than the other two). Ideas include: tie-ups with Pampanga based productions, online t-shirt selling, human auctions, tying up with UP Sandiwa (Tarlac student organization) to make a huge event back home.
REPRESENT!
There are a lot of activities inside the campus, most of them are contests. Let’s maximize the talents of our members by joining these events. We earn money and we make AGUMAN more known to UP.
FED UP – Fincom’s Excel Database for Uploading members’ financial Positions

Such will be recognized in an Eexcel list of all registered members together with other financial statements will be posted online, in the bulletin board or logbook. This will lead to a more systematized collection of fees and other receivables. All receipts and expenditures will be included as well.
